Tom Rhoads is an actor and singer. A Michigan native, he made his stage debut at age 6. During his teens, he appeared in leading roles in a variety of musicals including Curly in Oklahoma!, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. Tom received his Bachelor of Arts with honors in Theatre and Communications from the University of Michigan and moved to New York City. During his time at university, he won the Michigan Idol contest and appeared as the opening act for LeAnn Rimes at the Nashville Convention Center. His advanced training in acting and musical theatre was at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.

His most recent theatre credits include the role of Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest on Broadway at the Roundabout’s American Airlines Theatre, with Angela Lansbury, Jane Houdyshell, John Glover, Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, Rebecca Night, Simon Jones and Daniel Davis, directed by Michael Wilson. Prior to that he did three workshops of the forthcoming York Theatre Company production of the new musical, Monet, for which he also did the cast recording. He appeared in The Last Session at St. Clements Theatre, Anyone Can Whistle, in a RADA production at George Bernard Shaw Theatre in London, and the North American tour of Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury, directed by Michael Blakemore. Other New York credits include Boy Gets Girl, HB Playwrights Theatre; Shakespeare by Another Name, Century Club; The Safest Place, Staged Reading, Roundabout Theatre with Marsha Mason & Katie Finneran, and Made at the Boomerang Theatre. Regional theatre include productions of The 39 Steps, Hot l Baltimore, Noises Off and Brigadoon.

His most recent film credits include Tim Janis’s Buttons, starring Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke, to be released at Christmas by Paramount and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman set for a November 2019 release. Television credits include: Quantico, Pan Am, Royal Pains and Madam Secretary.

He has performed at numerous concerts and galas including for The York Theatre Company, The American Theatre Wing, The Drama League. He appeared as soloist in a widely acclaimed choral tour Cathedrals of the United Kingdom, and in December 2018 at Carnegie Hall as a soloist in the annual holiday concert Tim Janis & Friends Christmas Concert. He will be appearing there again for Janis’s 2019 concert. Also set for a Holiday Season release, a new film Christmas Coupon, directed by Daniel Knudsen, in which the music score includes a new song “It’s Christmas Time Again,” for which he sang and also filmed a music video.
